Stop interviewing. Start shipping.
You do not need forty profiles. You need three engineers who have already solved your problem, available in the next two weeks, at a rate you can defend to finance.
What a brief needs
The outcome
What is different when this is done.
The stack
Cloud, languages, anything unusual you are stuck with.
The shape
One engineer, a pod, or a fixed-scope build.
The constraints
Start date, time zone overlap, compliance, budget ceiling.
Teams that hire through the network
Companies hire through CloudOps Network by sending a short brief. Within about 72 hours they receive two to four vetted engineers with relevant project history, availability and rates. Work is contracted through CloudOps Network under a single statement of work with a named delivery lead.
What you actually get
A shortlist, not a search
Two to four engineers, each with a note explaining the match and where the gaps are. We tell you the weak spots.
Verified credentials
Certifications checked at the source. References taken from people who managed the work, not from a link in a profile.
One contract
You sign with CloudOps Network. Contractor agreements, compliance and payment sit behind that line, not on your desk.
A named delivery lead
Someone on our side who reviews milestones against the statement of work and raises problems before you find them.
Rate transparency
You see the rate before the interview. It does not move after you say yes.
A replacement path
Flag a mismatch in the first two weeks and we swap the engineer and cover the handover.
How engagements are usually structured
Three shapes cover almost everything. If your situation does not fit, say so in the brief and we will propose something that does.
| Single engineer | Monthly rate, one to six months, full or part time. Best when you know the gap and need it filled. |
|---|---|
| Embedded pod | Two to six engineers plus a delivery lead. Best when a whole workstream needs to move and your team cannot absorb it. |
| Fixed-scope build | Defined deliverable, defined price, milestone payments. Best for assessments, migrations and bounded platform work. |
| Notice period | 30 days on monthly engagements. Nothing longer, ever. |
| Time zones | Filtered before shortlist, not negotiated after. |
| Paperwork | NDA, MSA, SOW, DPA, security addendum. We work from your paper where you have it. |
Where the engineers come from
The network is made of independent engineers and small specialist teams, most of whom have spent years inside consultancies, cloud providers or product companies before going out on their own.
They join by invitation. That constraint is the point: it keeps the roster small enough that a human being has actually spoken to everyone on your shortlist.
Before an engineer reaches a shortlist
Referral or direct sourcing
No open applications from cold traffic.
Credential verification
Certifications confirmed at source.
Technical screen
Architecture review of work they actually shipped.
Two references
From people who managed or paid for the work.
What companies ask before signing
How long does it take to get someone started?
A shortlist lands in about 72 hours. Companies that move quickly usually interview within a week and have an engineer working inside two weeks of signing.
Can I hire one engineer, or do I have to take a team?
One is fine. Roughly half of engagements start as a single engineer and grow only if the work warrants it.
What if the engineer is not the right fit?
Tell your delivery lead in the first two weeks and we replace them, with the handover handled on our side. We would rather absorb that cost than argue about it.
Do you work fixed price or time and materials?
Both. Discovery and clearly bounded builds usually work better fixed price. Open-ended platform work usually works better on a monthly rate. We will tell you which one we think fits before you ask.
Who owns the code and the IP?
You do. IP assignment is in the statement of work, and it assigns to your company on payment, not on project completion.
Can engineers work in our time zone?
Yes. Tell us the overlap you need and we filter for it before the shortlist rather than after.
Do you sign NDAs, DPAs and security addenda?
Yes, all three, and we will work from your paper. Security questionnaires are answered by a named person, not a portal.
Tell us what you are building
Describe the work in a few lines. We come back with a shortlist of engineers who have done it before, their availability, and a rate range. No account, no platform fee, no obligation to hire.
Most briefs get a shortlist within three business days.
